Style Inspiration from Oscars 2018

Every year Oscars give rise to new beauty and fashion trends – ones that last until the next Oscars. It is pure joy to witness our favorite stars walk down the red carpet looking their very best.

This year’s Oscars were no different than the others; flowing gowns, red lips, mesmerising eyes, and on-point hair styles. Everything was perfect.

Some of our favorite looks you might want to steal from the Oscars are:

· Short hair

Not everyone can rock a bob, blunt crop or pixie hairstyle but this year, we witnessed three of our leading ladies look phenomenal in these hairstyles.

Margot Robbie: Her icy style was one of the highlights of the event. A side parting with a subtle wave looked perfect with her overall angel-like look.

Saoirse Ronan: A blunt crop is difficult to pull off, but with her subtle make-up and blush dress, Saoirse Ronan was a red carpet hit this year.

Both of these looks go well with oval-shaped faces. It is recommended to keep minimal make-up with these looks as to not divert attention from your hair.

· Statement Necklaces

We witnessed the power of statement necklaces when Kate Middleton walked the Academy Award red carpet with a striking necklace that definitely stole the show.

Taking inspiration from her, Gal Gadot pulled off a similar styled necklace and raised the glamour quotient at the Oscars.

Greta Gerwig wore a stunning necklace too that complemented her bright-coloured gown and red lips.

Statement necklaces are very easy to find and pull off but keep the rest of the jewelry at a minimum as to not overdo yourself.

· Purples

Shades of purple were a common sight at the red carpet. From Salma Hayek to Ashley Judd, not only is it the Pantone color of the year for 2018, purple is officially the new red carpet colour.

Both these actresses wore different shades and styles of purple, but they looked so different from the usual reds, blush and white and were a treat to the eyes.

If you don’t have a purple accent piece yet in your closet, you may want to immediately rush to get one because it is definitely the new go-to color.  PS we love it so much it has been the Scalisi Brand color from the beginning!
